SUMMARY:Inspiratiesessie:   Neurodivergentie op de werkvloer 🧠
DESCRIPTION:Begrijp de leefwereld van neurodivergent talent en vertaal dit naar een toekomstbestendig hr-beleid. Een exclusief event tijdens de Neurodiversity Pride Week. \nVoor HR en werkgevers van Gentse bedrijven \nDe war on talent woedt volop en de zoektocht naar geschikte profielen is uitdagender dan ooit. Toch blijft een grote groep gemotiveerde mensen vaak onder de radar: neurodivergente personen (zoals mensen met autisme\, ADHD of dyslexie). Zij botsen vaak op onzichtbare drempels bij het vinden van een eerste job en ervaren heel specifieke uitdagingen op de werkvloer. \nTijdens deze inspiratiesessie slaan we de brug tussen hun leefwereld en uw dagelijkse hr-praktijk. We bieden u een unieke inkijk via een veelgeprezen Vlaamse documentaire\, en gaan daarna dieper in op de actuele uitdagingen waar u als werkgever of hr-professional vandaag mee kampt. \nIn de kijker – Film: FLY – Beyond the spectrum \nEen Vlaamse documentaire van Steven Janssens (73 min.) \nFly – Beyond the spectrum is een documentaire mét\, over en vooral dóór vier vrienden op het autismespectrum. Jules\, Kieran\, Brian en Jason verloren in hun jeugd vaak het vertrouwen door de labels ‘autisme’ en ‘beperking’ die hen ongevraagd werden opgeplakt. Vandaag staan ze als jongvolwassenen op een kruispunt in hun leven. Gaan ze een zelfstandige toekomst tegemoet? Vinden ze een job\, zingeving en geluk? \nUnieke co-creatie: de jongeren werden nauw betrokken bij het maakproces\, stonden zelf achter de camera en componeerden de soundtrack. Het resultaat is een krachtig\, ontroerend en bijzonder creatief portret over hun transitie naar volwassenheid en de manier waarop zij hun neurodivergentie ervaren. \nPanelgesprek \nNeurodiversiteit en inclusie voor HR in de praktijk. Aansluitend op de film leidt Bjièn een boeiend panelgesprek met vertegenwoordigers uit diverse bedrijven (3sign\, KU Leuven\, Kunstencentrum Buda). We laten de theorie voor wat ze is en zoomen in op de realiteit en de huidige hr-pijnpunten\, waaronder: \n\nHoe doorbreken we onwetendheid en stigma’s rond neurodiversiteit op de werkvloer?\nHoe kan een doordacht\, inclusief beleid preventief werken tegen langdurig absenteïsme?\nPsychologische veiligheid: dé sleutel tot een neuro-inclusieve bedrijfscultuur waarin elke medewerker voluit kan gedijen.\nHoe ondersteunen we leidinggevenden concreet in de omgang met neurodivergent talent?\nSuccesvol navigeren tussen harde zakelijke KPI’s en de menselijke noden op de vloer.

DESCRIPTION:Overview\nA celebration day on neuro-inclusive design with talks\, workshops and co-creation for more inclusive workplaces\, education and systems. \n\n\nAbout this event\nWhat if neuro-inclusion was not only something we talk about\, but something we can actually design? \nOn Thursday 11 June 2026\, we gather at the Provinciehuis in Antwerp for Designing Belonging: NeuroDesign Now Community Day — a free celebration day on neuro-inclusive futures\, creative practice and systemic change.\nThis is not a classical conference. It is a day for people who want to rethink how we learn\, work\, collaborate and belong. A day with talks\, stories\, design practices\, co-creation\, lived experience\, sharp questions and warm encounters. Together with designers\, educators\, neurodivergent professionals\, students\, parents\, social organisations\, creative practitioners\, policymakers and changemakers\, we will explore how design can help create environments where more people can participate\, contribute and thrive. \nWhy join?\nBecause neuro-inclusion needs more than awareness. It needs better tools. Better environments. Better conversations. Better systems. The programme starts at 10:30 and closes at 17:30. \nThe event will be in English and Dutch. Some sessions may be mainly in English\, others in Dutch\, but we will make sure the day remains accessible for both Dutch- and English-speaking participants.
