SUMMARY:June 17th: Replay & Closing Day
DESCRIPTION:Replay & Closing Day\nWednesday 17 June 2026 | Online | Part of Neurodiversity Pride Week \nReplay & Closing Day is the final day of Neurodiversity Pride Week: a day to look back\, reconnect\, share highlights\, and revisit the voices\, stories and ideas that shaped this year’s celebration. \nAfter a week of science\, solidarity\, gaming\, dancing\, activities\, flag hoistings\, keynotes\, community events and Pride celebrations\, Replay Day brings the movement together again online. It is a calmer closing space where people can watch recordings\, discover moments they missed\, and feel connected to the wider global Neurodiversity Pride community\, as we’re all watching it at the same time. \nThroughout the day\, we stream ND Pride-related speeches\, workshops\, interviews\, talks and community content online. You can join for a few minutes\, watch a full session\, return throughout the day\, or simply keep the stream open as a gentle companion while you reflect on the week. \nReplay & Closing Day is also an invitation to rest\, to relax. Pride is not only about visibility and celebration; it is also about integration\, reflection and care. After the energy of Neurodiversity Pride Day itself\, this final day offers a softer landing: time to remember what happened\, honour what was shared\, and carry the message forward. \nWhat to expect\n\nA 24-hour online stream of ND Pride-related content\nRecordings of speeches\, workshops\, talks and community moments\nHighlights from Neurodiversity Pride Week around the world\nA calmer closing space after the main Pride celebrations\nA chance to discover sessions and stories you may have missed\nTime to reflect on neurodivergent pride\, dignity\, self-acceptance and community\n\nWho is it for?\nReplay & Closing Day is for neurodivergent people\, family members\, friends\, allies\, educators\, researchers\, professionals\, organisations and anyone who wants to learn from the voices and experiences shared during Neurodiversity Pride Week. \nYou do not need to attend the full stream. You are welcome to join in the way that works for you: watch one video\, follow several sessions\, return later\, listen quietly\, share with others\, or simply take in the feeling of being part of a global celebration of neurodivergent minds. While the stream may continue broadcasting longer that 24 hours\, the official end of this day\, is 23.59 in each timezone. \nClosing the week\, carrying it forward\nNeurodiversity Pride Week may close on 17 June\, to make space for our friends celebrating Autistic Pride Day on the 18th\, but the meaning of the week continues. The recordings\, stories and ideas shared on Replay & Closing Day are reminders that neurodivergent people are not alone\, that our minds are part of human diversity\, and that every act of visibility can help build a more accepting world. \nEvery brain is beautiful. Every story matters. Every moment of pride can become part of something larger.

SUMMARY:International Keynotes: Emma McNally
DESCRIPTION:Main International Keynote #1: Emma McNally – “Breaking the Shame in a Imperfect World”\nAnnual tradition of Neurodiversity Pride Day \nWe are honoured to welcome Emma McNally as one of the two main international keynote speakers for Neurodiversity Pride Day 2026. Each year we invite 2 daring pioneers to share their message with the neurodivergent community. See the video at the bottom of this event post. For earlier keynotes\, you can watch some of the best ones on the Replay page. \nEmma McNally is the CEO of Tourettes Action\, a keynote speaker\, neurodiversity educator\, storyteller and author. Through her leadership\, advocacy and public voice\, Emma has helped bring greater visibility to Tourette Syndrome\, challenge harmful misconceptions\, and strengthen the call for better understanding\, diagnosis\, treatment and support. For the first time\, a representative of the Tourettian peoples\, are asked for the “main”. Emma is a compassionate hero\, and her voice and message\, have gotten to be particularly important this year. \nEmma’s work speaks strongly to the spirit of Neurodiversity Pride Day: moving away from shame\, mockery\, isolation and misunderstanding\, and toward dignity\, recognition\, community and care. In a world where many people with Tourette Syndrome and other neurodivergent experiences are still misrepresented or treated as a punchline\, Emma’s voice helps remind us that education\, compassion and acceptance are not soft ideas – they are necessary forms of social change. \nAcross her public work\, Emma invites people to look beyond stereotypes and to understand the real lives\, strengths\, challenges and humanity of people with Tourette Syndrome. Her work resonates with the wider purpose of Neurodiversity Pride Day: creating a world where neurodivergent people do not have to hide\, shrink themselves\, or carry the burden of other people’s ignorance. \nThis keynote is a annual part of the global Neurodiversity Pride Day programme: a celebration created by and for neurodivergent people\, and joined by allies\, organisations\, schools\, workplaces\, cities and communities around the world. \nJoin us for this main keynote with Emma McNally\, and be part of a global day of neurodivergent pride\, visibility and connection. SUMMARY:Neurodance Preparty
DESCRIPTION:Neurodance Preparty – Moonwyrm on Twitch\nSunday 14 June 2026 | 2:00-4:00 PM Central US time / 21:00-23:00 CEST | Online: \nJoin the Neurodance Preparty here \nLanguage: Mostly music; chat language may vary \nNeurodance Preparty is a two-hour online music session with Moonwyrm\, streamed live on Twitch as part of the build-up to Neurodiversity Pride Day 2026. \nThis preparty is a smaller\, simpler version of the World Neurodance: one DJ\, one Twitch channel\, two hours of music\, movement and neurodivergent joy. It is a chance to warm up for ND Pride Week\, test the stream together\, and enjoy a shared online dance moment before the full Neurodance World DJ Marathon begins on Neurodiversity Pride Day. \nNeurodance is about dancing in your own way. You can dance wildly\, gently\, visibly\, quietly\, with others\, alone in your room\, seated\, stimming\, listening\, resting\, or simply being present with the music. There is no correct way to join. The point is not performance. The point is connection\, rhythm\, movement\, joy and the freedom to celebrate neurodivergent pride in a way that fits your body and your brain. \nThis preparty is also a live technical test for the official Neurodance page. During the session\, visitors can try the embedded Twitch player\, the chat preview\, the readable chat popout\, and the scroll-safe mini-player. If everything works well during this preparty\, the same setup will support the full Neurodance World DJ Marathon. \nMoonwyrm has played an important role in growing Neurodance into a global online celebration. Since 2023\, Moonwyrm\, together with Sir_no0ob and the Wyrmling community\, has helped shape the ND Pride Raid Train into a joyful international gathering of neurodivergent DJs\, dancers and listeners across time zones. \nThis event connects strongly with Neurodiversity Pride Day because pride does not always need a stage or a speech. Sometimes pride is music. Sometimes it is movement. Sometimes it is letting your body respond in the way it wants to. Sometimes it is joining a chat\, opening a stream\, or dancing privately while knowing that others around the world are celebrating too. \nProgramme\n\n14 June 2026: Neurodance Preparty\nDuration: 2-hour Twitch set\nDJ / channel: Moonwyrm\nFormat: live online music stream with Twitch chat\n\nTimezone guide\n\nCentral US time / CDT: Sunday 14 June\, 2:00-4:00 PM\nUTC: Sunday 14 June\, 19:00-21:00\nAmsterdam / CEST: Sunday 14 June\, 21:00-23:00\nNew York / EDT: Sunday 14 June\, 3:00-5:00 PM\nKyiv / EEST: Sunday 14 June\, 22:00-00:00\nHong Kong / HKT: Monday 15 June\, 03:00-05:00\nAuckland / NZST: Monday 15 June\, 07:00-09:00\n\nPractical information\n\nEvent: Neurodance Preparty\nDJ / streamer: Moonwyrm\nDate: Sunday 14 June 2026\nTime: 2:00-4:00 PM Central US time / 21:00-23:00 CEST\nLocation: online\nPlatform: Twitch\nChannel: @moonwyrm\nPart of: Neurodance / Neurodiversity Pride Day 2026\nOrganiser: Neurodiversity Pride Day / Neurodance team\n\nWhat to expect\n\nA two-hour online Neurodance preparty with Moonwyrm\nMusic\, movement\, chat and neurodivergent joy\nA low-pressure way to join from home\, alone or with others\nA chance to test the Twitch player\, chat popout and mini-player setup\nA warm-up moment before the full World Neurodance 2026 programme\nFreedom to dance\, stim\, listen\, rest or participate in your own way\n\nThis event may be especially relevant for neurodivergent people\, Twitch communities\, music lovers\, dancers\, stimmers\, gamers\, ND Pride supporters\, and anyone looking for an online\, movement-based way to warm up for Neurodiversity Pride Day. \nJoin the Neurodance Preparty here \nVisit the World Neurodance 2026 page here

SUMMARY:When hormones meet neurodivergence - A story of sensitivity\, intensity and hormonal plot twists from puberty to menopause
DESCRIPTION:Hormonal shifts can feel more intense for many neurodivergent women. \nHormonal changes are often discussed in relation to puberty\, menstrual cycles\, perimenopause and menopause. Neurodivergence is often discussed in terms of cognition\, emotion\, sensory processing\, masking and navigating environments that were not designed for neurodivergent people. \nBut for many neurodivergent women\, these experiences are deeply interconnected. Hormonal changes can affect mood\, focus\, sleep\, sensory sensitivity\, emotional regulation and nervous system stability – the same areas that may already be more sensitive in neurodivergence. \nThis practical session will explore the hormonal life of neurodivergent women\, from puberty to menopause\, bringing together perspectives from clinical psychology and functional medicine. \nTogether\, we’ll explore why hormonal changes can feel amplified\, including: \n\nPhysical factors – hormone fluctuations\, brain chemistry\, nervous system regulation\, sleep\, sensory sensitivity\, stress physiology\, digestion and energy\nPsycho-social factors – late diagnosis\, masking\, identity\, emotional regulation\, self-understanding\, relationships\, work\, overwhelm and the impact of not knowing you were neurodivergent earlier in life\n\nWe’ll also look at what can help: \n\nUnderstanding personal patterns across hormonal phases and life stages\nSupporting emotional regulation\, self-compassion and communication\nReducing sensory\, cognitive and emotional load where possible\nSupporting sleep\, nourishment\, nervous system regulation and overall capacity\n\nThe session will combine accessible science\, clinical experience and practical strategies throughout\, while acknowledging the complexity and individuality of neurodivergent women’s experiences. Expect an integrated and neurodiversity-affirming discussion focused on making sense of patterns\, reducing shame and exploring supportive approaches across both the mind and body. \n  \nPresented by Sally Mounir and Scotti McLaren – in collaboration with Neurodiversity Belgium \nSally is a licensed psychotherapist and registered member of the International Council of Psychotherapists in the UK. Her work is shaped by a multicultural background and a strong commitment to creating a safe\, respectful and non-judgemental space for clients. She takes a personalised\, holistic approach\, supporting people to better understand themselves and build practical tools for emotional wellbeing\, self-trust and growth. \nScotti is a Geneva-based functional medicine practitioner with a clinical focus on neurodivergence and women’s hormonal health. Her academic and clinical training spans neuroscience\, psychology\, nutritional science\, personalised nutrition and functional medicine. Known for her investigative approach\, Scotti connects systemic and cellular insights with everyday experience\, helping make sense of complex patterns in women’s brain\, body and hormonal health.

SUMMARY:Every Brain Is Beautiful: Neurodiversity\, Equity & Belonging at Work
DESCRIPTION:As part of Neurodiversity Pride 2026\, Neurodiversity Belgium invites you to an online presentation exploring what neurodiversity means in real life especially in workplaces\, teams\, and everyday systems.\n\nThis session moves beyond basic awareness and asks a more practical question:\n\nWhat changes when we stop seeing neurodivergent people as problems to manage\, and start looking at the environments that create unnecessary barriers to equity\, participation\, and belonging?\n\nDrawing on lived experience\, workplace examples\, and evidence-informed thinking\, this presentation will explore:\n\n• what neurodiversity means beyond labels\n• why “talent\, not defect” matters\n• how communication\, flexibility\, predictability\, and psychological safety shape participation\n• why inclusion is not just about individual accommodations\, but about better design for everyone\n• how workplaces can move from goodwill to meaningful structural change\n\nThis session is designed for anyone interested in neurodiversity\, equity\, inclusion\, leadership\, workplace culture\, advocacy\, and creating environments where different brains can genuinely belong.\nThis webinar will be delivered in English\, with French subtitles available.\n\nOnline event \nHosted by: Swiss Pride Team and NDB in collaboration with Neurodiverse Brains in the Workplace\nContact: events@neurodiversity.be\n\nRegister here: https://neurodiversity.be/events/every-brain-is-beautiful-neurodiversity-equity-belonging-at-work-12-june/\n\nFollow us on LinkedIn:\n(NDB) Neurodiversity Belgium\nNeurodiverse Brains in the Workplace\nNeurodiverse Brains in the Workplace Version française courte — flyer / réseaux sociaux\nEvery Brain Is Beautiful : neurodiversité\, équité et appartenance au travail\nChaque cerveau est beau : neurodiversité\, équité et appartenance au travail\nDans le cadre de la Neurodiversity Pride 2026\, Neurodiversity Belgium propose une présentation en ligne sur ce que signifie la neurodiversité dans la vie réelle — notamment dans les milieux professionnels\, les équipes\, la communication\, le leadership et les systèmes du quotidien.\nCette session invite à dépasser la simple sensibilisation pour poser une question essentielle : que changeons-nous lorsque nous cessons de vouloir « réparer » les personnes neurodivergentes\, et que nous commençons plutôt à concevoir des environnements plus équitables\, où différents cerveaux peuvent participer\, contribuer et appartenir pleinement ? Ce webinaire sera proposé en anglais\, avec des sous-titres en français. \nOrganisé par Neurodiversity Belgium\nEn collaboration avec Neurodiverse Brains in the Workplace\nÉvénement en ligne — plus d’informations à venir.

SUMMARY:ND in the body - The current research on neurodivergence & physical health
DESCRIPTION:What if neurodivergence is as much about the body as it is about the brain? \nFor decades\, neurodivergence has largely been discussed through the lens of behaviour\, cognition and mental health. But emerging research is increasingly exploring whether many neurodivergent experiences may also involve differences in whole-body regulation – including the nervous system\, immune system\, hormones and connective tissue. \nThis session will explore what current research says\, where the evidence is strongest\, and which areas remain emerging and debated. \nResearch areas we’ll explore: \n– Nervous system regulation – autonomic function\, sensory processing\, stress physiology and POTS\n– Immune system signalling – inflammation\, histamine\, mast cells and neuroimmune communication\n– Hormones and neuroendocrinology – PMS\, PMDD\, peri/menopause and hormonal sensitivity in ND people\n– Connective tissue and hypermobility – EDS\, chronic pain\, proprioception and emerging overlap research \nWe’ll also explore: \n– Why burnout may be physical as well as psychological\n– Why symptoms often cluster across different body systems\n– Why many ND people spend years moving between medical specialties\n– What researchers still don’t fully understand \nExpect a science-focused but accessible session bridging neuroscience\, immunology\, endocrinology and systems biology\, with practical explanations and real-world context throughout. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the emerging brain-body science of neurodivergence\, how different areas of research are beginning to connect and why many researchers are increasingly approaching ND through a more integrated lens. \n  \nPresented by Scotti McLaren\, Investigative Health – in collaboration with Neurodiversity Belgium \nScotti is a Geneva-based functional medicine practitioner. She specialises in brain and hormonal health\, with a focus on neurodivergence and menopause. \nHer academic background includes an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health (King’s College London)\, a BSc in Nutritional Science (Middlesex University) and a diploma in Personalised Nutrition Practice (CNELM). \nKnown for her investigative approach\, Scotti uses functional medicine to connect systemic and cellular insights with everyday experience.

SUMMARY:Humour\, Neurodivergence and the Brain: Why Funny Minds Work Differently
DESCRIPTION:Why do so many neurodivergent people gravitate toward humour — and why are so many comedians\, improvisers\, writers and quick thinkers neurodivergent themselves? \nEmerging research suggests that humour may be deeply connected to many neurodivergent traits\, including pattern recognition\, divergent thinking\, emotional processing\, sensory sensitivity\, masking\, social navigation and nervous system regulation. \nThis interactive session explores the two-way relationship between humour and neurodivergence: how neurodivergent brains may process humour differently — and how humour itself can become a powerful tool for regulation\, connection\, resilience and survival. \nResearch areas we’ll explore: \n\nDivergent thinking\, creativity and unexpected associations\nPattern recognition\, rapid cognition and comedic timing\nDopamine\, novelty-seeking and ADHD humour styles\nMasking\, social adaptation and humour as communication\nNervous system regulation\, stress relief and laughter physiology\nHumour\, rejection sensitivity and emotional processing\nWhy humour can both support and hide burnout\nThe overlap between trauma responses\, hypervigilance and observational comedy\n\nWe’ll also explore: \n\nWhy many neurodivergent people use humour instinctively in difficult situations\nWhy quick wit can sometimes develop from social adaptation\nThe difference between connecting humour and defensive humour\nWhy some ND people feel “too much” and joke their way through it\nWhat current research supports — and where evidence is still emerging\n\nExpect a science-informed but highly interactive session blending neuroscience\, psychology\, lived experience and humour itself. Through discussion\, reflection and real-world examples\, we’ll explore why funny brains often work differently — and how humour can become both a coping strategy and a form of connection\, creativity and regulation. \nPresented by: \n \nJennifer Lara Clarke of Switzerland\, in collaboration with Neurodiversity Belgium (NDB) \nJennifer is a communications strategist\, coach\, facilitator and comedy storyteller who is deeply fascinated by why some of the funniest people also happen to have very busy nervous systems. \nWith a background spanning global communications\, leadership coaching and behaviour change\, Jennifer combines science\, humour and lived experience to create interactive sessions on neurodivergence\, resilience\, creativity and human connection. Her work explores how humour can function as a coping strategy\, communication tool\, nervous system regulator and survival skill — particularly for neurodivergent people navigating an overwhelming world. \nShe believes some brains don’t just think differently. They also joke differently. \nFormat:\nOnline event \nHosted by:\nSwiss Pride Team and Neurodiversity Belgium \nThis webinar will be delivered in English\, with French subtitles available. \nJennifer Lara Clarke: https://www.jennaclarke.com/\nContact: events@neurodiversity.be
