They are designed for adults navigating the unique challenges of ADHD, whether formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed, newly exploring ADHD, or looking for peer connection with others who understand similar experiences.

Peer support can be especially powerful for ADHD adults, because many people have spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, inconsistent, “too much,” or not able to explain why everyday systems can feel harder than expected. A group setting can create validation, practical exchange and the simple but important feeling of not being alone.

These events connect strongly with Neurodiversity Pride Week because pride is not only about visibility and celebration. It is also about community, support, self-understanding and spaces where neurodivergent people can speak honestly without needing to mask or over-explain themselves.

Practical information

Event: Adult ADHD Support Group (Online)

Datum: Tuesday 16 June 2026

Čas: 19:00 – 20:30 IST / Dublin time

Umístění: Online

Organiser: ADHD Ireland

Event: Portlaoise – Adult In Person Support Group

Datum: Tuesday 16 June 2026

Čas: 19:15 – 20:15 IST / Portlaoise time

Umístění: Portlaoise, Ireland

Organiser: ADHD Ireland

What to expect

Peer support for adults with ADHD

A space to share experiences and feel understood

Online and in-person options on the same evening

A friendly and informal setting

Support for adults who are diagnosed, self-diagnosed or exploring ADHD

A community-based contribution to Neurodiversity Pride Day

This event may be especially relevant for ADHD adults, people exploring ADHD, peer support organisers, family members, supporters, community workers and anyone interested in low-masking spaces where neurodivergent adults can connect with others who understand.

View ADHD Ireland events and registration information here

This event has been suggested as a relevant contribution to the Neurodiversity Pride Week programme by the community.
