There is no need for a formal diagnosis to attend. If you identify as neurodivergent, are exploring neurodivergence, or are looking for a community space where you can be understood without needing to over-explain yourself, this walk may be a meaningful place to start.

Kindred Footing brings together movement, mindset, connection, community and coaching. Previous walks have taken place in beautiful outdoor spaces in Yorkshire, and attendees have shared that they felt relaxed and welcomed into the group. The next events are planned for Sunday 14 June 2026 and Sunday 12 July 2026, with the exact locations still to be confirmed by the organisers.

This event connects strongly with Neurodiversity Pride Week because pride is not only expressed through big celebrations. Sometimes pride looks like walking beside someone who understands, having a gentle conversation outdoors, taking up space in the world without masking, and finding community at a pace that feels human.

Practical information

Event: Kindred Footing: A Walk & Talk for Neurodivergent Folk

Dato: Sunday 14 June 2026

Tid: to be confirmed by the organiser

Time zone: BST / Yorkshire time

Beliggenhed: Yorkshire, exact location to be confirmed

Organisers: Good Footing & Kindred Neurodiversity

Audience: neurodivergent adults, including people without a formal diagnosis

What to expect

A calm outdoor walk-and-talk for neurodivergent folk

A relaxed opportunity to meet like-minded people

Movement, conversation and connection in nature

No need for a formal diagnosis

A community-led space created by neurodivergent organisers

A gentler alternative to more intense social events

This event may be especially relevant for neurodivergent adults, people exploring neurodivergence, local community members in Yorkshire, people who prefer outdoor connection, and anyone looking for a calmer way to meet others during Neurodiversity Pride Week.

View the Kindred Footing event information here

This event has been suggested as a relevant contribution to the Neurodiversity Pride Week programme by the community.
