Hi! I\u2019m 47 years old and recently became aware I am \u201cmore neurospicy\u201c than I previously considered (understatement of the year). While this has brought me great relief, I found myself being quite prejudiced against a so-called \u2018ADHD\u2019 diagnosis out of mere ignorance and fear of the words \u2018Disorder\u2019 and \u2018Attention Deficit\u2019.<\/p>\n

The name is wrong! There\u2019s no deficit of attention, and it\u2019s not a disorder of the mind: it\u2019s just a different way of functioning. The connotation of those words brings pain and damages the life of millions of people who happen to live with this condition.
\nI\u2019ve written a petition for the name \u2018ADHD\u2019 to be changed to something more adequate. It would be great if you read it and, if it resonates with you, support it by signing and\/or spreading the word.<\/p>\n
