Neurodiversity Pride Portugal – Celebrating Neurodivergent Identities

📄 Event Description:

Neurodiversity Pride Portugal will take place at Agrupamento de Escolas de Esmoriz Ovar Norte to celebrate neurodivergent identities, promote inclusion, and highlight the richness of neurodiversity.
A variety of activities will bring together students, educators, families, and guests to share, learn, and express pride in neurodivergent ways of being.

📋 Planned Activities:

Opening Ceremony + Flag Hoisting
With the School Principal, students, teachers, parents, and guests.
Panel Talk: “Neurodivergent and Proud”
Featuring students, educators, and neurodivergent voices.
Creative & Artistic Workshops
Including collective painting, student artwork exhibits, and an “I’m Neurodivergent and Proud” mural wall (using flipcharts).
Sensory & Chill Zone
A calming space with soft lighting, soothing sounds, and sensory regulation materials in the Snoezelen Space.
Video & Online Testimonials
Contributions from neurodivergent youth from other schools, shared live or via social media.
