Neurodiversity Pride Day is a global celebration of neurodivergent people, neurodivergent identity, and the beauty of all types of minds. The 2026 theme is Every Brain Is Beautiful.

This Newcastle picnic is a low-pressure, neurodivergent-friendly gathering for neurodivergent people, families, friends, allies, educators, clinicians, advocates, and community members.

There will be music, picnic space, and time to connect with other neurodivergent people, families, allies, and neuro-affirming professionals. Some neuro-affirming allied health professionals will be attending and available for informal conversation or questions if people would find that helpful.

There is no presentation and no pressure to participate in any particular way. Come for five minutes or stay for the whole event. Chat, listen, move around, sit quietly, take breaks, bring your own food, or simply be there in whatever way works for you.

People of all ages, communication styles, sensory profiles, mobility levels, and support needs are welcome. Headphones, fidgets, comfort items, support people, kids, friends, and family are all welcome.

Eye contact is optional. Stimming is encouraged. All forms of communication are welcome.

ND Pride is a celebration, not a performance.
